These were a tough card to recommend priced over £400, being quite close to the cheapest RX 7800 XTs.
I just bought the Nitro, seems like a sensible price. Could have paid a bit more for a 7800 but I really only intend for the card to be a stop gap of sorts. That said, it’s easily more than enough power for what I need.
Up until recently I had a 4090 FE and a 7900 XTX Nitro in two different machines but I barely game. Sold them both while they still have some solid value.
This 7700 should suffice in to next summer until we see what happens with next gen. Great thing about buying a card at this price point is you aren’t going to lose a whole chunk when you go to sell it either. Plus it looks good in the case being such a chunky card
Well done you two, looks like you got a bargain.Smashing price for the card, I bought that one at that price - I think they mistakingly put it too low tbh, far lower than any other available and now gone. Might have been bad value when released but 300 or below makes it very good value so i'm glad of all the bad reviews and nay-sayers, got me a great deal off of it Installed, never had a 3-fan before, or a triple slot! What a chonker, but is a brilliant card. Love a nitro+
For £300 (or near), sure. For £400? Eh.Is a 7700xt a worthy upgrade from a 5700?
