New graphics card, 8800GTS?

Currently using a 6800GT, rest of rig is a 4400+ @ 2.5ghz, 3gb ram, sb audigy 2, etc.

After a decent upgrade from the 6800, is the 8800gts the thing to have or will it be cpu limited, i take Ati are a gen behind at the min or is there anything worth considering from them?
 
If you have the money go for it!

Ive got one, you have a similiar spec to mine and it plays great! I only have a 19" monitor so i am able to play 'most' games fully maxed with 16AA & 16AF! :D

You wont regret it!

If you'd rather spend less money, then the X1950 pro & X1950 xt are worth considering.
Don't think the 8800gts will be badly cpu limited at all, though it'll depend on the game of course. Anyway, you can take it onto your next cpu upgrade.
I would check power requirements against your psu though.
