New Graphics Card advice

Hey;

I am looking for an upgrade on my graphics card looking to spend £200-300 max something to compliment my system as obviously it is older technology any ideas?

GTX 970 or R9 390. Both are good choices.

What resolution do you game at ?

I'm using 1920x1080 on GTA, but i'm playing on mostly low settings as it just fps chokes anything higher I want to buy one just to improve my settings not looking to whack everything on ultra.

970 is almost equal at 1080 but the 390 can and will perform better if you ever go for a higher res or VR.
