only problem is ram prices are increasing, regardless if Mining dies down, ram prices will keep cards high in price. even @Gibbo stated a rough £20+ bump due to ram prices.

maybe if hundreds of tons of wafers wasn't scrapped in 2016, might of been a different sorry :(
Disaster - here was me hoping for a sub £200 1060 again post mining

I had the Zotac mini, even got a Waterblock made for it by alphacool as it ran hot, sold it on ebay and then was told b the user they sold it on to for the same reasons and got a 1070.

really would push for dual fan design , even the small less fancy designs like the Windforce or larger Pailt design ( avoid the dual)

to be honest, would rather go for a brand new 1060 with warranty and 6GB of ram and doesn't drain the power :D

Overclocked 1060 would be the choice for most over a second hand 980 on here. think most members would direct you to a 980 Ti if your going down the second hand route which touches on 1070 levels

yeah unfortunately the 980Ti is way over £300 used atm.

ofc 1060 would be the ideal choice but not much anyone can do about it atm.

interestingly 2nd hand 1060s on the bay are almost the same as paying new.

really couldnt have picked a worse time to go hunting

Hi Mate,

CEX sell 2nd hand cards and give a 2 year warranty.

They have the GTX980Ti for £300 or GTX970 for £170 for example - best of both worlds, 2nd hand prices but full retail warranty.

Hope that helps.
