Hi there,
I'm hoping someone with a little more know-how than me might be able to give a hand with purchasing a new graphics card for my system.
I'm first and foremost wondering whether I can just straight swap out and in a new card with the current specs I have.
Secondly, is it viable to do this? Is it going to benefit me more in the longrun to swap out a new motherboard and chip, etc etc?
Thirdly, I'm looking to spend something in the region of £150-£200.
My specs:
Processor:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz
Memory:
6142MB RAM
Hard Drive:
535 GB
Video Card:
ATI Radeon HD 4890 XT
Operating System:
Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6002) Service Pack 2 (6002.lh_sp2rtm.090410-1830)
Motherboard:
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R Intel X58 (Socket 1366) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
