new graphics card "help"

hi all .. i'm looking to upgrade my graphics card i currently have a saphire radeon x300se and my system is IMEDIA MCE 1615
Sunshine (GA-8I915PM Ver 1.1) Motherboard. and my budget is around £200 for the graphics card ... is it worth spending that much on a new card .. considering the possible limitations of the rest of my system .. any help would be greatly appreciated .. jason

Found a similar model spec but cannot find the actual spec of your machine but it looks quite dated?

Do you know the full spec of the system?

I imagine that the memory in there is DDR1 and the CPU will be single core. So the graphics card is going to bottleneck. It might be worth it if you can save up an extra two hundred and you can get a core 2 duo system setup. CPU, motherboard, ram graphics card, hdd etc.

I;ve just recently done two budget rigs for family and friends and spent only £300-400 and got decent spec systems. (HD 4850, core 2, DDR2 etc).

Theres no way a £200 GPU would be able to run to its full portential in that rig
