What should I do to install ATI card. I had a 8400GS and am now putting a 4650 In. I took out the 8400gs and put the 4650 in but the screen said: "Out of range". What do I do?

P.S. I asked on the graphics card forums, I would have waited, but I need to have an answer QUICK! :O

it sounds like you screen resolution is out of range, put the old one back in and change it to 800x600.

also ones an nvidia card and one an ati have you uninstalled the nvidia drivers and installed the ati ones ?

Nope, I put in new old nVidia card, Put in the old driver cd, Kept on pressing enter, And It is now back to normal. But I uninstalled the nVidia drivers when I was on the computer and it said Out of range. Will I need to install the ATI drivers before I install the card? And change the resolution to 800x600?

No, I had to put the Old nVidia card back in. But I want to install the ATI Card. But I cant delete the drivers for the nvidia because it says "Out of range". So Im wondering do I have to install the ATI drivers before I put in the card?
