Hiya,

So I have a small problem with the new Graphics Card I bought and OC support advised me to check computer manufacturer compatability and maybe try updating my BIOS. Just looking for a bit of extra info, maybe if anyone has experienced something similar, will updating my Bios fix the isse?

This is the most relevant sounding update I found on the Foxconn site:
Type: Motherboards BIOS File Size: 4.48MB
Version: BB5F1P03 Updated: 06/15/2012
Description: Fixed 1x PCIE broadcom lan card plug 16x slot hang up issue

Below is the ticket I sent to OC detailing the problem.

"Support Details:
Motherboard: Foxconn H61MXL/Foxconn H61MXL-K
Motherboard Driver: Not sure how to find.
Motherboard Chipset: Intel® Sandy Brige H61 Chipset
Motherboard BIOS: B63D3B04
CPU: Intel i5-2320 3.00Ghz
Memory: ASint Technology, DDR3 667 MHz, 4096 MBytes, x2
Memory Latency: 9.0 Clocks
PSU: Seasonic S12II 620W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply
Graphics: HIS HD 7950 IceQ BOOST 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (H795QC3G2M) **Voltage Unlocked
Graphics Driver: N/A
Sound Card: Onboard
Sound Driver: Don't Know
Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
Changes prior to problem: Added new PSU & GPU

I have attempted to upgrade my old Advent DT1411 prebuilt with a new psu and gpu. It had everything as listed above except a 405W psu and a HD6670 gpu. I purchased the Seasonic and HIS HD 7950 from yourselves.
1) I switched the PSU and checked that with my old gpu and that worked with everything running as usual.
2) Uninstalled my old Graphics Card drivers / Catalyst.
3) Installed my new Graphics card, the HD 7950.
After insuring the card was seated properly and the two 6Pin connectors were attached to the card, I booted up my PC.
It started for 10-20 seconds (I think trying to POST) then beeps once quickly and shuts down.
It then restarts with the fans from the psu, gpu and cpu heatsink thingy running but nothing boots up. It doesn't sound like the hard drive is running either though I'm not sure. It will then stay like that untill I switch it off. There is nothing on the screen (no BIOS or signall at all) and doesn't seem like anything other than the fans are doing anything.
When I switch back to my old HD6670 the computer runs fine (I have now reinstalled all the old drivers) and runs fine with no Graphics Card but I have tried a couple more times to install the new card but it does the same thing over and over. I checked several times to make sure the card was seated properly and it certainly seems to be, everything I am supposed to connect is connected to the best of my knowledge."

If anyone has any advice to give, I would appreciate it.
Also I'm in work atm so not near my computer to do any other checks.

Hey thanks for reply.

1) No, I unfortunately only have the one.
2) Think that's what I'm going to try.
3) My PSU only has 1 6Pin and 1 6/8Pin
4) Only 1 PCI-E slot
5) I'll read up on how to do that and check when I get home.
