I am running a phenom 955 @ 3.4ghz and 4gb of ram

PLEASE HELP AS I HAVE NO CLUE WHICH GRAPHICS CARD GIVES BEST BANG FOR BUCK =(

Thanks in advance

If you want to spend close to £300 than I would go with a single 5870 or buy a single 5850 and maybe another when the prices drops

the sapphire includes two four-pin power to 2x3pin pcie power adapters with the card.

review here 5770 in crossfire, may answer your question

What resolution do you play your games at?

I went from a 4850 to a 5870 on a phenom 9950 and the difference was astounding, and that's only going to be amplified as your CPU is much better than mine.

Since you've got a 4850 and a crossfire mobo the cheap option is to add another 4850 and wait for the next generation of DX11 cards to come out. A pair of 4850s will keep up a 5870, so all you're really losing is DX11 support which isn't a big deal yet.

Thanks for all your replys guys ...
I normally play my games at between 720 - 1080, so which GPU will be best at these resolutions.

Secondly i have an antec earthwatts 500w
.Dual 12V outputs: 12V2 for Motherboard and peripherals; 12V1 for processor
.80 plus

I think its quite a good quality PSU (not a cheap one) so will this be good enough to run the graphics cards that you have suggested

Thanks in advance =)
