Hello

I am in need of a new graphics card, my 2 580's are pretty much unusable together they either get too hot and crash or I seem to get random crashes. Now I have up to the price for say a 780ti. but was wondering the following, is it worth waiting the 800 series? and how long will that be. also how many monitored could be run off the 780ti as I have 2 desktop monitors and also my tv which I switch on normally in NVidia control panel when needed. or is amd the way to go with there 290x?

All considerations would be grateful thanks

I don't have a choice as I'm building now but I would definitely wait.

Can you not do a full reinstall of windows and clean your heat sinks to see if it cools your cards down?

I was going to get a 770 evga and step up but on the verge of a 290 now.

Maybe get an EVGA and step up?

Sell your 580s when you got the 780 and use the money if you need it.

decided to get a 780ti, talked myself into it with doing extra overtime recently haha. about time I upgraded anyway, and thought if the new series brings down the prices I can always buy another to go sli

I got the EVGA NVIDIA GTX 780Ti SC 3GB DDR5 PCI-E Graphics Card with ACX Cooler

Hi, when you register the card within the first 14 days to your EVGA Account you can use the step up program for free. So far there is nothing confirmed about new series but if the price will be similar you can then get the next gen card for shipping cost only...
