I have just installed my new r9 290 but my monitor has a black screen/ no display. I have to unplug he card and out the hdmi cable into my motherboard to get my display back on. The fans on the card spin. I have tried setting the display to PCI-e primary in bios. I have a gigabyte z77-d3h and 600w psu. I no that is abit on the low side for this card but a lot of people have this card and an overclocked CPU on the same wattage.

Thanks

Actually just checked and my primary display in bios keeps switching back to auto. I think gigabyte boards having sticking issues could this be a cause of my problem? How do I get it to unstick

Just a quick query what make and model PSU are you using and you have bother power connection installed on the card.

Not sure how helpful this will be but when i got my R9 290 I had exactly the same problem, an update to my motherboard BIOS sorted it out, I would certainly be checking that I had the latest version is possible.
