New graphics card noise issues

Hi all,

I just built a new PC and despite that case being much bigger than i thought (600t.. its ridiculously big?!) everything is up and running fine.

The issue is whenever I game my graphics card (MSI 7950 twin frozr III) ramps up almost immediately into a very annoying whine sound. This only seems to happen when the fans around 55+% but it's really distracting. The thing that seems strange is I checked using various temperature monitering tools and it doesn't even get that hot (around 55-59 c at most when playing witcher 2.. pretty much the most demanding game I've got) and as soon as I alt tab - the fans drop to silent straight away.

Is this normal? If so, what are my options? The air from my computer isn't hot and it seems quite well cooled so far and I haven't OC'd anything yet. It's really distracting and bumming me out honestly!

Just downloaded the MSI program and set the fan curve but it seems to completely ignore my manual settings and ramps up straight away?

Right that's good to hear - I will send it back because I'm just not happy with the noise, everything else is very quiet.

How do I go about doing this under DSR? Never have before, but it arrived Wednesday.\

Got it :) I sent a webnote, and ordered a gigabyte 7950 to be delivered for monday! Let's hope this one actually lets me play games and hear the sound at the same time.

Just thought I'd add - my Windforce turned up today and its night and day - can't hear it even when playing the witcher 2 with all the settings (cept ubersampling!) on max.
