new graphics card or a quad6600

been playing gtaiv liberty city with medium settings,but it looks crap,on high i get low fps,
also codmw2 i get stutters all on high,
should i change my 9800gtx+ or should i upgrade my cpu to something like a q6600 second hand,

cant afford both only have around £100 mark.

mw2 i get a constant a 87fps, then if they is lot on screen like smoke.and bombs going off, the frame rate dips in to the 30s causing stutters.

motherboard is asus p5kpl socket 775,
and where could i get a q6600 for £60.
