I've just got a new Asus EAX-X1600 XT SILExtreme as I wanted a decent passively cooled card but the display is corrupted at the bottom of the screen -

It only goes wrong at above 1600x1200 and only through DVI. 1920x1200 through VGA is fine  The monitor info shows the current display as 1920x and 52hz instead of 60hz....
I've tried all the obvious things like reseating the card, trying a spare cable and checking it's in properly, installing the original drivers on the CD and the latest ones for XP and Vista64. Formating the HD and reinstalling XP didn't help.

There's no way the x1600xt is overheating especially as the screen messes up as soon as it logs into windows. The temp is only 34C for the HD, 27 for the CPU and 37 for the MD!

Never had any computer probs like this before. Any ideas?
