I've recently installed a new graphics card (and as a result, a new PSU) and I've got an annoying issue with how my monitor powers on again.
Before, I was using display port from my monitor, to the onboard display port on my mobo (on-board nVidia 9300). When I turned the monitor on in the morning, it just powered up and displayed the screen as usual (with the PC being left on).
However, now I'm running display port from my monitor, into a mini display port adaptor, into my new AMD card. When I power the monitor on initially, I can here the "device disconnected" sound and it just stays in powersave mode. So I hold down the power button on the screen to totally turn it off, then power it on again. Once the screen then displays, it's reset all my window sizes and sometimes some of the windows are in non-aero mode.
Is there a setting somewhere I need to change, that can fix this?
Thanks!
