Just like RAM the Hiper PSU you have is probably a different revision compared to all these faulty ones. If it's lasted this long then it's been doing it's job. Your also right, Hiper was very popular before. Shame they let it slip.
A jump up to X1900 is about double your X850 so going to 8800GTS is going a little further than double. Be prepared for a major hike in your machine hehe. I think you should maybe fork out an extra 50 quid and get the BFG 640MB version (Don't get the OCUK one only 1 year warranty) as if you ever upgrade your monitors then the card will be ready. The 320mb version isn't too great on resolutions of say around 1440x900 and above. I just think that if you did ever upgrade your monitor you'll be sitting fuming about not making this choice as it will affect you. Big resolutions are in and Tommy Hilfiger jackets are out. it's all changing man.....

Oh yeah your PSU will be stressed like never before with any of the choices before you in a graphics change so be careful and check your amps before doing anything like overclocking.
EDIT: I'd like to add that to maybe do a little research if your thinking of higher resolutions as the GTS 320mb version can handle it quite well. Not in all cases but in most it still shines. With the 640mb your kind of guarantee'd to shine where the 320mb version would lack in those few games.
