new graphics card to complete me rig

ok getting a new rig:
core 2 duo e6300
geil 2gig pc6400
Asrock 775DUAL-VSTA motherboard (upgrading to gigabyte ds4 after i get graphics card)
corsair 520W
WD 320gig SATA

AND i have nVIDIA GeForce 6200 agp so i want to get a new pci-e graphics card, around 200 quid (all depending on how much i can get for my old rig)

btw i intend to play all the lastest fps games and i want them to be a smooth as possible

My mate has it, and swears by it. I've got a 7950 GX2, can't recommend that one highly enough.

I think the X1900 is a similar price, btw.

If I were you Id see if you can get hold of a 7950 GX2. It'll keep you more future proofed because it has 2 GPU's, its essentially a single slot SLI solution. Performance will also be a lot better than the 7950 GT.

If you want to go ATI, the x1900 is an awesome choice.

Why not just get the DS4 and new graphics card now? Otherwise you are just kinda throwing your money away on the ASrock board.

For <£200 I'd be looking at the 256meg x1950xt which is £178inc on this week only.

asrock board = 30 quid no loss
plus i don't have any money
plus i can sell it on and get my full money back

btw i have a agp card and i can't affors to buy new graphics card and ds4 at once

yea but i don't have 300 odd quid to spare and if i did i would save a little extra and get a 8800
