I've just bought a Dell U2715H to replace one of my HP LP2475w monitors.

My video card is a Sapphire HD6450. It's a slightly unusual card in that it provides 2 x DVI + 1 x HDMI rather than 2 x DVI + 1 x DP. Connecting to the HDMI the maximum resolution offered is 2048 x 1152.

I've got a HD5770 somewhere I could probably use, but from memory one of the reasons I replaced it was the fan starting to get noisy.

I don't play games. Any recommendations for a suitable video card, preferably passively cooled, that won't cost too much.

I need to connect two HP LP2475w monitors via DVI or HDMI, and one Dell U2715H via DP. The LP2475w also supports DP but I had problems with screen blanking (the other reason I replaced the HD5770).

i think this would be better moved to the graphics card forum given you're looking for a new card with specific outputs. I'll rename it for you too :)

If you don't play games check the maximum resolution your MB supports, i know my own one supports 2560x1440 as i had to use it until i fitted my gpu. Also providing you have the connections

I've installed my old HD5770 and now have the full resolution via DP.

The fan is a bit noisy, especially compared to the passively cooled card I was using.

Is there a cheap and effectively silent option available? I wouldn't really want to spend much over £50.

I did have a quick look to see if I could put a passive cooler on the 5770 but that isn't a cheap option either.
