New graphics card with E8400

Evening all, I'm looking to get either a MSI GeForce GTX 570 1280MB GDDR5 or a MSI GeForce GTX 580 OC Twin FrozR II 1536MB. I would be upgrading from a 5770 1gb card.
I was wondering how much difference I would notice as I assume that my E8400 will create a huge bottle neck.
Thanks for any info you can bestow upon me!
 
Upgrading to either of those graphics cards will make a huge difference to gaming performance.

If that E8400 is overclocked then you shouldn't have to worry too much.

I am running an i3 540 at 3.8Ghz and running all games fine with a 6870 ( mainly call of duty titles and need for speed currently ).
