New Graphics Card

Hi all,

I am looking to improve the performace of my pc possibly running games at 4K and improving the 4K video performace. What would you advise for a graphics card and would my processor be up to the job and keep up with a new GPU.

Samsung Evo 840 250gb SSD
2tb Seagate 7200rpm HDD
8gb GSkrill ram (2100Mhz)
Sapphire R9 290 vapour-x GPU
Asus 2K4K 27" monitor
Corsair RM750 PSU
Windows 10
Corsair K70 cherry red mechanical keyboard
Mad Katz Rat5 mouse

I wouldn't go to 4k I'd go 1440p, current gpus aren't up to the job unless you go sli/xfire

A single 980ti/tx/1080/fury x could run 4k with a gsync/freesync monitor but you'll get frame rates between 30-60fps in modern games with max settings (excluding aa)

a. you happy to upgrade your GPU every year or more
b. or buy 2 of them
c. you only play overwatch/Dota/Rocket league or other low intensive games
d. dont care about 60hz only

if another to them is yes, No question 1080. Fury X is worthless with 4GB at 4K.

I would soley recommend you to go 1440P

This is from a 1440p & 4K gsync user who does A+B+D
