New graphics card

Okay my hd7950 has finally died and I need a replacement.
I haven't kept up to date on hardware, what cards have comparable performance to a hd7950 now?
I was happy with the performance of the old gpu but more fps can't hurt.
What is the best value for money gpu before you start to get diminishing returns?
these are my pc specs, will they bottleneck modern gpu's much?
i5 3570k
8gb ram
850watt power supply
I was thinking about spending about £200 but if another £50 or so makes a big difference I don't mind.

A Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti will be a fine replacement, but the price / performance sweet spot is the 6 GB GTX 1060 or its AMD counterpart.

• 1 x Palit GeForce GTX 1060 Jetstream RGB 6144MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card= £229.99

Total: £239.89 (includes shipping: £9.90)


This a much better price than the Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB linked above, but it only has a 2 year warranty and no UK RMA centre.

The Giga has a 3 year warranty and does have UK RMA.​
