new grip help

Im thinking of getting some new grips but my bike doesnt have bar end weights, there one piece rubber grips so im not sure how to take them off other than cutting them. i didnt want to cut them and find ive knackered it completely? or are most grips compatable with most bikes?

are they like motorcross ones with the end closed off? the grip i mean closed with rubber

you can try hairdryer and pull them off maybe but not too close or you will burn them,think they use adhesive to stick them on

use a smear of fairy liquid to slide the new ones on

yeh they are like a one piece rubber grip, the ends are closed off and theres a rubber hex key hole but thats no use.

Use hairspray instead of glue. Hairspray is great as a lubricant when you want to get them on and then goes nice and tacky to hold the in place.
