New GTA4 info from a turkish Xbox Magazine

New Details have been revealed today for the next-generation console debut of the genre-defining “Grand Theft Auto” franchise. These details are from a Turkish Xbox magazine.

1) When you move, there is a slight vibration with every footstep when you run

2) The HUD has been removed- no health or armour indicators, it is all visual- and if you have armour, you actually have a bulletproof vest which visually deteriates

3) Flamethrower and rocket launcher are still in the game

4) Explosions are larger than ever, and there is a mission in the game based on creating an awesome chain reaction of car explosions- apparently this looks awesome

4) Cars dont explode unless you blow them up- ie they wont explode if you just keep crashing or hitting them- you have to rocket launch into them

5) Niko doesnt get tired- you can run forever, it just wont be as fast as previously.

6) more RPG elements, ie - for a mission, you must catch the train at 7pm, and if you dont, you dont get to do that particular mission (they just gave this as an example, the scenario isnt confirmed in the game yet)

7) Gore is back and better, bullet wounds show, blood appears where you shoot people, they limp if you shoot them in the leg, and hold their arm if you shoot their arm. Apparently when you run someone over it is disturbing (but they gave no more detail)

No eating, girlfriends, keeping fit- but your skills do improve over time (driving etc)

9) Secret vehicles and “plenty of goodies” at 100% completion- no more details given (either not revealed or simply not known yet)

10) Land size is bigger than the 3 cities (not country) in SA put together

11) graphics are better than Saints Row- draw distance is literally as far as you can see

12) new trailer will be on the internet 28th of June

Well most sounds good if true, not sure about bit about missing train cant do mission thing kind of spoils the sandboxness ( not a word but couldnt think off a better one!), unless it only applies when you are already in the mission.

What a shame. That's one bit of the GTA games that I thought was really good. It added a sense of urgency when you just HAD to run away but prayed you had the stamina to make it around the corner before you got too tired.

I hope they rethink that.

I hope that doesn't get to be irritating, as you spend at least half of the game time walking. Maybe the PS3 version will require you to rotate the Sixaxis for each step you take!

I agree that running stamina shouldn't be infinite. Perhaps it's not as it appears. Maybe you run faster but slow to a jogging pace (which is still faster than walking).

Doesn't stamina affect you in Saints Row (can't be bothered to turn it on to remind myself :D)?

if you do have to rotate the six-axis then im deffo getting it on the 360 that would be the most stupidest thing put into a game, but im pretty sure its not gonna be in there

lol i think he was joking

moving each hand in front of the other to walk would be ridiculous

There is no Turkish XBox magazine. This informaion is typical Gamefaqs.

It's not true. Lets wait till my birthday for the new trailer :D

ditto, i like how a lot of games nowadays are going for a very minimalist approach as far as the hud is concerned

increased draw distance and the removal of the ridiculous stats in SA can only be a good thing aswell

I was thinking that. Any chance of an actual link to a scan or something?

Yeah i agree, then when you stopped he would double up trying to catch his breath.

Vibrating for every step? yeah thank god i'll end up getting the PS3 version then.

i believe the getaway was criticised severely for lacking a HUD. Will GTAIV also have a the indicators on the car blink to signal which way we have to go?

it was pointless anyway you just tap the run button for infinite running in an emergency

wouldnt the vibration foot thing jus encourage more driving i like thew whole footstep thing to be honest though looking forward to this game really am .

Yeah but if it is all vibrations off, or all on, that isn't good :(

so whats the point of getting it on ps3 then? if you get it on the 360 you can see if you like it with vibration or not, if you do keep it on if you dont turn it off and just pretend your playing it on a ps3

I'll probably get it on the PS3 as i preffer the pad to begin with, and in a 50/50 situation where the game will be no better or worse on one console or another, i will get it on the PS3.

well since the 360 has downloadable content and vibration its already a 75/25 split to the 360 just now, thats just my opinion, i own both consoles too, also the game may have bugs, etc which are usually quickly updated through live, ive never seen a similar thing on the playstation network yet, the only thing going for the ps3 version would be the controller is lighter, but i feel the design of both controllers are perfect in their own ways, unless the ps3 has some major enhancements not found on the 360 version it looks like the 360 is the best buy in every situation
