Yeah but if it is all vibrations off, or all on, that isn't good :(
I'd be amazed if you couldn't.
The rumble will be so minor anyway that you will hardly notice there. It's there to engross you into the game, not tear your hands off.

well since the 360 has downloadable content and vibration its already a 75/25 split to the 360 just now, thats just my opinion, i own both consoles too, also the game may have bugs, etc which are usually quickly updated through live, ive never seen a similar thing on the playstation network yet, the only thing going for the ps3 version would be the controller is lighter, but i feel the design of both controllers are perfect in their own ways, unless the ps3 has some major enhancements not found on the 360 version it looks like the 360 is the best buy in every situation

For me it is a 50/50 split. I wont be paying for any DLC off MS, still holding a grudge since the GH2 and GoW debacles, so will vote with my wallet. So it then comes down to achievements Vs COntroller. I just like the PS controller for games like this. I feel i have a bit more control. Sure i like the 360 controller for driving and shooting, but adventure style games, it is the PS controller all the way for me. And since this game will take quite a while to complete, it will be a big factor. Vibration doesn't bother me tbh. Although the everystep thing would be annoying. I don't have vibration on my PSP yet still enjoy GTA: LCS and don't feel like anything is missing.
As for bugs, i guess it will all depend on how R* get them out. RFOM got patches ingame quite easily for the first couple, motorstorm also, so it isn't a major worry for me.
So call me a fanboy, but if something is a 50/50 split for me, the PS3 will always get the extra 1% to get my purchase.

I think the preferred control method is a totally viable reason for choosing the PS3.
Myself I dont mind the PS3 control pad in short stints. I feel they need to revise the L2 and R2 buttons because it doesn't take long for me to feel my fingers slipping when playing Motostorm and I have a feeling I'll be doing a lot of driving in GTA4. I also prefer the concave analogue sticks aswell as the positioning of them on the 360 pad, which i feel gives more control rather than the rounded analogue sticks of the playstation.

So as you see it is horses for courses when it comes to controllers.

Masculine hands = 360
Feminine hands = PS3......J/K :p

But GTA 4 IS driving and shooting... not really adventuring. :P

may need to get it on both consoles anyway, because my little brother will probably want to play it at the same time as me, so 1 for 360 and 1 for ps3, but if i had to buy just 1 version it would be 360, ps3 has been a let down thus far, i hope they get some decent games out soon, because i actually reckon its the more powerful console, but the 360 has far superior, OS, games, network, etc
