They just showed up silently.
It's the same as GTS 150 available in OEM systems only, or 9800 GTX+. Most interesting is fact they should have been cheaper 20 bucks than 9800 GTX+ whether they are expensive more than 20$...

No, I meant Zotac models (OcUK is hard to compare I think), which have the same quantity = 512 MB of memory. GTS 250 is 20 pounds (not $) more than 9800GTX+... nVidia promissed cheaper chips :-/
Why not to ammend a BIOS and sell old 9800GTX+ as "new" GTS 250, OcUK ? ;-)
