new GTS video playback?

I’ve read the posts on the GTS but I’m still torn between a new GTS or the GTX, I game at 1920x1080, am I right in thinking the GTX is still king at that res?

I also use the PC as a media centre, I know the GTS has some new video features, but I’m not sure I would notice any difference playing HD movies (BlueRay HD-DVD)? Does the card assist the playback of .mkv or .wmv files?

Any advice appreciated.
