New GTX 780

will be overclocking it today, been busy working so going to gaming this weekend ;)

Regarding the step up program would you guys go for a 6GB version of the 780 or go for the 780Ti?

Sweet and interested to how you get on. As for the step up, it will only be viable if you are going 4K (UHD) and intend on running another 2 alongside what you have, so 3 * 6GB cards in total. That way you can have all the eye candy on and get semi decent fps.

That and it will run hot and loud.
Possibly wont boost as high either due to that.

And you would be trading a classi for it.. insanity

My 2 EVGA 780 SC ref cards are great. They never go higher then 74c and tbh I don't think their that loud. I've had custom coolers way louder. mine boost to 1150mhz. Don't need it to go higher really. I'm happy with it.

Another plus of having a reference over custom is heat blows out the back of reference card. Custom cooler blows heat in the case. You better have a lot of fans blowing all that heat out the case.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask for help - I just installed my new 780gtx classy but it won't boot - it's stack on a black screen with B2 on the bottom right. Am I doing something wrong?

Probably need to update your BIOS should really do it before putting the card in. EVGA even give you a massive note in the box telling you this.
