new guy total novice

as the title says i am a novice in the pc scene, back in the52 day i did have a overclocked p166 and a overclocked voodoo 3dfx card happy days indeed , oh my days the memorys come flooding back i also had a power vr card that hardly any games surported if i remember right

my current pc

athlon 64 x2 5200 @2.6ghz
nforce 4m-a motherboard
2gb dd2 ram
128mb pci e geforce 7300
250gb harddrive

i pretty skint at the moment due to a second baby so i am here to get sum help to crank sum extra power funds are limited, the motherboard only supports am2 processers from research done but a whopping 32gb ram,

i use the computer for every day use but wouldnt mind playing a few games
so from looking around oon the web i would need to upgrade the ram
overclock processer to around 3ghz and get a better gpu am i on the right track?

i have got a games consoles but games like dungeon seige just aint got that point click feel i crave ,
