Hey guys 
Im about to buy a 500GB Samsung HD. I have Acronis True Image 9. It has a "clone disk" function which I will undoubtedly find very useful for dumping data from the old one to the new drive.
However I hear that there are advantages to doing a "clean install" of Windows and all my other software. This will take a long long time (although Im teaching myself how to slipstream a CD with the SP2 updates so the OS install wont take so long).
Im a bit on the fence now and wanted to know what u gurus thought of the whole thing
1. Clone the old HD to new one using Acronis and be done with it?
OR
2. Reinstall XP Home on the brand new drive along with all the other apps?
