Soon i will be buying a new CPU motherboard and graphics card, i was wondering if i need a new copy of windows xp or will my current one still work?

You should be fine, when you re-install it will want re-activating. Not much point buying another copy really, mine has been fine, has seen about 4 different motherboards and cpu's since I bought it :)

^^ That's illegal and I suggest you go buy a legal license. Microsoft deem a motherboard being replaced as a new computer and as an OEM license is tied to one machine and ONE only, the license dies with the old motherboard so either buy another OEM license or get a retail one if you plan on upgrading again :)

Thats confused me now...

I'm in the same situation as Posty, i have an OEM Windows XP disc, legal, which is installed on this computer. And soon i will be buying and building a totaly new machine/rig/computer from OcUK. Now will i be able to use this Windows XP disc for a new installation on my new machine/rig/computer?

Cobra.

Cobra firstly HOLY **** at your sig, you really need to read the FAQ as your sig way way breaches the size limit. Just a friendly heads up btw

As for your copy of XP, as it is OEM, as Triggers says you will legally need a new copy of XP.

Personally I got my copy of XP Pro (Retail) for £92, bargain really.
