Got a new mobo / cpu & gpu.

I also have a couple of copies of Win 7 Ultimate and a Win 8 full retail.

Oh and a Win10 Pro d/l on a flash drive.

Cos i'm starting fresh, do i have to install 7 or 8, then upgrade, or can i go straight in with the 10 from flash.

if i have to do it from an upgrade is 7 or 8 better to upgrade from ?

You have to do it from an upgrade unless your 10 is a retail licence purchase. The windows 7 will be less upgrades as you can go straight from that to 10 but I think that takes you to Pro as there isn't any longer an Ultimate. Is the 7 retail license too? You need to ensure it has activated before doing the upgrade and once 10 has also activated you can fresh install and skip any requests for the key as it will activate once the install is finished and your connected to the internet. Best to create a local user to whatever you use as your username too then if you have a microsoft account change the user type over to microsoft account after the install has finished. If you have an SSD and a HDD you might want to install to the HDD first so that you can use your SSD's drive tools to do a secure wipe then when 10 has activated and you want to then do a fresh install switch back to using the SSD as the target.
