New hardware, powering off

Picked up a new MB, CPU and RAM yesterday and today I've been attempting to install windows 10 but am running into issues.

Using official USB boot media on several known good USB sticks the installation progresses normally through the copying phase but the system semi-powers down at random points. The display blanks out, keyboard powers off, but the fans continue to spin. I've left this for 30 minutes but nothing resumes.
It has also done this sat static on the selection screen pre-copying.
The CPU is at 55c-60c at idle with the stock AMD wraith fan which seems high to me. On quickly booting into the bios to look at temps after it crashes it remains in that region, not indicating it was a temperature problem.
I'm using the same GFX card and PSU as the previous Xeon based system, just swapped out the 3 components.

I've checked the connectors, tried different HDD's, reset the CMOS but still I cannot get through the file copying phase.

Can anyone suggest a possible cause of this issue or further troubleshooting steps?

Specs as below:

Ryzen 2700x with provided AMD Wraith cooler
Asrock B450M Pro4
Teamgroup Steel 3200 2x8gb (checked correct slot locations)
Corsair AX860 PSU
Titan Black GPU
Samsung 830 SSD (also tried Crucial M4) in standard ahci mode.

Help!

It happily runs memtest86 with no errors.
I'm leaning towards a motherboard issue, does this sound a reasonable assumption?

Does it ever crash when you're in the bios etc, or is it literally just when installing Windows 10?

You could try building it outside of the case, there's a chance you're getting a short or something.

Never just sat in the bios, just during the installation process.
However when I selected the UEFI boot option it worked and hasn't crashed since. Must be a modern new tech thing as I've never had a graphical BIOS before!

Just one of those odd quirks I guess, glad to hear it's working now!

Nothing worse than getting some shiny new kit and not being able to use it.
