Im looking for a new motherboard, graphic card and whatever else I will need to turn my PC into a beast for playing games on.

Dont particularly want to spend any more than £750 though I can go a little higher if needed.

Can someone point me in the direction of the best stuff to get, with gamning being the main goal here, as I dont really know what to get at all :p

may i ask what you currently have at your disposal, ie the spec of your current pc, reason i ask is to see if there is anything worth salvaging.

Oh and what monitor have you got if you have one and do you need mouse and keyboard etc?

have a look at my first post in this thread, delete the monitor out and thats about 800, prob trim a bit off with any bits you dont need like optical drives etc

Thats fantastic mate! To be honest I think I will just up my budget and go for the full kit that you suggested (could do with a new monitor anyway, mine is slightly on **** side)

To be honest I got my PC done so long ago that I am not too sure on my ram, what should I be looking at so this runs sweet?

Also will I have to update this PC quite quickly or will this last quite a while in regards to running games well?

It should last, its using latest AM3 tech so wont need upgrading for a while, and when it does you'll be able to upgrade this set up quite easily as it should take new cpu's etc

swear im missing something but here's my offering.

the advantage of ATI is the AM3 boards support xfire, they dont support SLI, of course if youre just going for a single card set up then it doesnt matter, I wouldnt spend extra on the 285 as new gen cards are out later this year, the 275 or 4890 will more than do

95thrifles speaks the truth so i suppose i ought to explain my spec. i went gtx275 just for variation as that and the 4890 are pretty much equal, however im sure either that or the 4890 will see you through until you decide to enter the DX11 market when they appear. This is why i have not taken multi gpu into consideration as i feel it will be overkill and kind of pointless with the new cards around the corner.
