New Hazro dual monitor issues

I've recently bought the non-glass version of the hazro monitor but can't get it to work with my HIS 6970 iceq mix gfx card.

When ever the hazro is plugged in the pc doesn't load. If the hazro is on its own nothing happens with the screen.
If another one is plugged in with the hazro the initial wordy bits load then just before the windows motion things come up i just get a blinking curser.

I've tried uninstalling drivers but issue remains.

The best i got was plugging in the hazro after the pc had booted and it came up in CCC but as DCC input or something but still didn't show any sort of image and it wouldn't let me choose the native res.

Obviously I'm doing something wrong here so HELP!!!

Thanks

Hi there,

Looking here, your HD 6970 only has one dual-link DVI connection, the other is single link. I don't think a single link connection has enough bandwidth to drive a 2560x1440@60Hz monitor.

Therefore, to get it to work you would need an active Displayport to dual-link DVI adapter.

Should clarify, I have one hazro monitor which i plugged iunto the dvi-d port and the other is just old 28" hanns g which is plugged into the dvi-i port.

Problem is that the hazro refuses to work/be recognized fully. I'm actually going to sell the hanns g so really just need the hazro to work but its playing ball.

Ah, in that case make sure the Hazro is connected into the bottom DVI port (the one right next to the HDMI port) and that you are using a dual-link DVI-D cable with it.

a ha i think you've found the problem.

I had read that top one was dvi-d, so plugged it in. Only problem was that I have inverted motherboard so top was actually bottom.

Doh. I didn't get my name for nothing.

thanks Andi
