New hdd noob question?

installed my second sammy f3 i believe its the two 500gb pe platter one.

its picking it up in bios etc. but not on my computer any ideas?

You need to go into Computer management, then Disk management and Format it (to open disk management type diskmgmt.msc into the search field and hit enter).
