Hello folks, I'm going to be coming into a bit of money at the end of September and have decided to spend some of it on some new audio for my home cinema. What I've currently got :-

LG 50" PZ250T 3D Plasma
LG BD660 3D Blu-ray Player
2 x Mission M73 Floorstanding Speakers.

I'm looking for an HDMI 3D capable reciever that ideally handles DolbyHD and DtsHD, I'm budgeting a max £250 for the reciever as I have to get a sub, centre and surround speakers too. Any reccomendations?

For the money your not going to beat the sony strhd820 which I bought about 6 weeks ago and love. You can pick one up for about £210 - £230 and its got all the toys apart from network access which for me wasnt an issue as its connected to my htpc. For the money you get 7.2 channel x 105watt (supports 7 speakers either with 4 rears or front height channels or 5 speakers with biwire to the front (as I have it)), 3 hdmi inputs, 1080p upscaling from all other ports, it decodes every dts and dolby format out there and has various other features. Check out the reviews most give it 5 stars.

If your looking at a sub I would recommend the wharfedale sw150. I bought this at the same time as the amp and it packs a serious punch.

Cheers, I've just hada quick gander on the net and it seems like that one can be had for £199 now at a popular AV retailer. It does seem well featured. I'm not bothered by network access either, I can use the Bluray player as a DLNA device which I can stream from my PC or a nas if I ever get around to setting one up. I'll check out that sub too, thanks for the advice!
