Windows 10, Nvidia 3090 (Driver 536.23), Monitor = LG Ultragear 45GR95QE-B

After installing the monitor mentioned above I've been experiencing a lot of instances where my screen goes black for a couple of seconds when switching between games, apps, windows, programs or whatever which I guess is a side effect of having HDR as the monitor will keep switching HDR on and off depending on what app or program you have open. I've not used every game or app on my PC since installing the monitor but so far I've had issues with an app called Content Manager that is an alternative launcher for the game Assetto Corsa where the screen kept going black depending on what you clicked on within Content Manager but I fixed that by going into Content Managers settings and turning off Hardware Acceleration, so no problem there anymore.

Now I have an issue with Ableton Live, when I'm using Ableton I generally have to tab in and out of it to mess about with files or other audio programs as part of what I'm using Ableton for, and every time I click into or out of Ableton the screen goes black for 2 seconds, so my first though was turn manually turn off HDR globally in Windows but IT STILL DOES IT even with HDR turned off?!! Before installing this monitor I never had such an issue. The screenhot below is my desktop which clearly shows HDR is OFF in Windows yet when I click inor out of Ableton my screen goes black. Worth noting that as I've turned off HDR in Windows it is also showing as OFF in my monitors OSD menu. So what the hell is going on? I seemingly can't use Ableton (and God knows how many other of my apps and games) without being plagued by the sceen keep flickering every time I try to navigate in or out of something.

Is this just a Windows 10 issue? I'm just about to update my GPU driver but I doubt that's the issue. Surely if HDR is OFF globally in Windwos then I shouldn't get any of this black sceen nonsense?

Isn't there some kind of a program that allows you to choose which games and apps use HDR and which do not? I did see one called Auto Actions but I couldn't get it to do anything useful (probably user error), even so, my issue above is still a mystery because HDR is currently switched OFF and the screen still keeps going black.

Hang on, wait. After updating the graphics driver to 551.76 I can tab in and out of Ableton without an issue. Maybe that was all that was needed? I'm sure that's not the end of my screen flickering issues, as I use more games and apps I'm sure i'll find some that give me grief. HAs anyone else had similar issue and found a way to fix them?
