would like a nice display

no offense, but do you drive whilst looking at your head unit?

surely sound quality is far more important than looks??

If not, then look at them cheap dvd players on ebay witha daft 2.5"TFT screen on them for ~£150

if sound quality is important, get that pioneer HU.

In all seriousness, for £150, you won't get good sound AND good looks. - the pioneer is about as good as you'll get.

Personally, aesthetics plays a large part in my purchasing choice.

I like to buy things I like the look of.

I wouldn't buy a better sounding HU if I didn't like the look of it.

:)

/edit I recommend a Pioneer DEH P75BT. It's not green though. :(

would u buy an ugly car if it did 50mpg or a good looking car that did 25mpg?

i dont want sum fugly piece of plastic sticking out of my dash

edit * Pioneer DEH P75BT is £250 a lot over my budget of £150

Maybe the DEHP55BT at £179 then? They both integrate a bluetooth handsfree kit, and are iPod ready (although I don't know if they need a separate piece of kit)

I've got the DEHP55BT and it sounds ok, even with standard speakers. It requires a separate iPod adaptor, and the illumination colour is changeable.

My only gripe with it is that it doesn't have a multi line display.

hey me again, i no ** all geting annoyed..

heres what i thinking of

50wx2 RMS ( 4 ohms,14.4v)
250w max

many thanks for all info

if you have steering wheel controls / stalk then the cable for that to e compatible with your HU

I've got the Alpine one you linked a few posts up, its great tbh. :)

I had a bit of fun getting the iPod lead into the glovebox but after that it rocks, could grab some pics tomorrow if you want.

My only gripe with it is the somewhat confusing menu, but after a bit of fiddling I successfully changed the light colour to red to match the rest of the lighting in my car.

Next stop, some decent speakers. :p
