New Headset bad Echo sound when using Microphone in steam etc ?

Hey Folks so just recently received my Steelseries Siberia 150's From Overclockers made the most of my free Delivery

When i test my microphone in steam and team-speak the Echo is terrible can hear my own voice like 3 times and makes a Screeching noise tried in Skype and it works fine any suggestions?

Maybe the microphone volume is set too high in Steam voice settings?

Even if i put the mic volume well done on steam it still echo's just as much.

Sounds like microphone boost is enabled somewhere.

Micro is working fine getting a bit of electrical interference but its bearable guessing is quiet common on headset with all the tv/computer etc?

Could be a ground loop, which can be fairly common.

Are you noticing any noise through the headphone part, or just microphone?

Ground loops cause that lovely AC frequency related static "buzzing/humming".
Varying noises, other frequencies and short transients come from elsewhere.

Gaming stuff isn't made for quality, but for huge profits.
With cheapest Chinese manufacturing even headphone signal can leak to microphone in wiring.
