New heatsink and fan

Yo guys. Thanks to the heat these past few weeks been getting a few blue screens. Temps reaching 60 70 degress whilst doing nothing on the machine.

Managed to get it running now but surley only a matter of time before it goes bang.

So wondering what cooler for my q6600. Running stock right now.

Would prefar somthing not fiddley.

Have you tried reseating the existing heatsink, applying new thermal paste and cleaning inside your case first? If you do want to change coolers then I would recommend this..

Yes sorry forgot lol. Erh nothing to crazy as i dont intend to be overclocking it.

Up to 30 quid lets say.

Titan Fenrir is a safe bet although might be overkill if your not going to Overclock.

No not tired. But recently i have got my self the coolmaster cosmos s case from pc world which was selling it for a rather cheap price. So its all clean except the cpu.

I would try removing the heatsink , cleaning off the old paste and applying some MX-2 or MX-3 first of all then. Worth a shot

I best get ordering the paste and cleaning material. I surpose its worth a shot.
