New Heatsink?

I currently have a Evo 33 with a bloody loud stock fan. My P4 3.00 Sck 478 prescott can get to 3.20 before it starts to become 60C+ load. I would like to upgrade to new heatsink and Fan. Need them to be quiet and very quiet, but also very good.

I was thinking of the Zalman CNPS9500-LED Aero Flower. Should i change the fan on this for a Noise Blocker? or keep stock fan.

If anyone has any suggestions about what to do feel free. have got around £40 to spend on the heatsink, possibly less.

Cheers guys.

i have the evo33, and although the fan is loud its a great performer, ever tried changin the fan at all?

I have an EVO 33 and keep it on the lowest setting all the time. You should put another 80mm fan on the other side for a Push - Pull configuration or change the fan for a quieter one.

freezer 4 on a p4 3.2 ht gives me temps of 35 idle and about 47 - 50 full load.
its for socket 478 and its very quiet. didnt cost much more than about £20

a 3.6 o/c gives me temps of 60 - 65 full load

I'd be interested in the EVO33 if you decide to sell

Your trust needs setting up m8

I tried out the Evo33 and I wasn't very impressed with it at all. The AC Freezer64 Pro, Zalman 7700 and Scythe Ninja are all in a different league - I've found each one to be much, much quieter while at the same time offering better cooling.

mofo's - if I'd known you were looking for an Evo33 I could have offered you one for cheap. I bought mine from a pc superstore for £20, returned it a couple of days later, then as I was walking out noticed they'd slapped on a 50% off sticker and put it back out on sale! I was tempted to buy it again for a tenner but had no use for it.

I think ill go with the freezer pro 64. But for the mean time ive super glued another Akasa amber on the other side and pluuged it in to my case fan controller. Havent noticed a lot of diffrence.
