My stock heatsink is letting my whole rig down in terms of ability to overclock.. without even overclocking I am reaching around 50-55 degrees.

My budget is between £30-45, not interested in water cooling at all, could I get some suggestions as to what OC products are good for AM3? (prefer better cooling than reduced sound) I've got no idea where to start >.<

Also, whats the best method of applying thermalpaste?

Thanks

I use the Titan fenrir and its great.

for applying thermal paste there is two methods,

1) a pea sized blob on the cpu and just fit the cooler, this will spread it out under the pressure, a tiny little twist after fitment to help too.

2) a pea sized blob again on the cpu, put your index finger into the corner of a plastic food bag and spread it around, fit the cooler and a little twist again.

Cheers :)

I'll go with the fenrir too, as a friend suggested it was good.

Is there any particular type of solution I need for cleaning existing paste.. 80-95% alcohol?
