I have a i7 930 overclocked to 3.7ghz along with a 5970 right now and i have an urge to upgrade since its close to two years old.
I have decided to go water cooling since i have dabbled in both phase change and have ran a custom loop in the past.
Im probably going to run a cpu/680 sli setup in single loop with a phobya 1260 rad for the lot.
The thing is im not sure about which to build around; a 3770k, 3930k or even a 3960x my main use will be gaming so i guess a 3770k would make the most sense, however it doesnt seem to matter how you cool these cpus you dont really get a better overclock unless you are going below ambient. So im wondering if I would be better off with sb-e as I may end up with better clocks.
Any thoughts?
