k weird title looks catchy :p

Anyway my grandad has just bought 2 tvs and one of them is a flat screen which can plug into the pc, i think its also wide screen as well but these are my worries:

My current 17" plays at 1280x1024 and of course with my x1900xtx plays games amazingly smooth.
But if i went up to a 20" (not sure if its wide screen :p ) the res would be a lot bigger and my performance would decrease. But would it decrease the fps to noticable levels.
Also what res would i be playing at, and does all games support 20" and i know not all games dont support widescreen so would the games look a bit weird.

The fps will drop, but the card should still be great.

You'll find that there aren't too many games that can't run in widescreen either through a menu or via a quick one line edit of some config file. I've recently got a widescreen and it's awesome.

Well, if its a 20" LCD TV the resolution won't be more than 1280x720 for a widescreen LCD TV, so the fps should actually go higher ;)

Of course, if you are talking about a 20" LCD monitor then, yes, your fps will drop a little.

Im using a 6800nu with a dell 20" and im fine with it on most games, only games i struggle on are F.E.A.R, BF2 high texture details etc - but no other games like racing etc.
A 1900xtx should handle it with ease surely.
