Hello everybody :P First of all I'd like to say I wish you all a great Christmas!

Now, the reason I'm here is because I am looking forward to buying myself a new monitor. Since I am rocking a 1ms / 60Hz / 1080p / 24" AOC right now, I'd like to go on for something like 1440p or 4k but thaaaat is a bit too expensive I think. Also I'm thinking about how will i be running my Battlefront and COD 3 with a 970 and a 4k monitor without downscaling to 1080p (ain't gonna happen).

Also, I'd like it to be 24" so i can keep the 1080p one by its side as a second monitor.. if that's not going to look bad.
So what do you guys think ? What would be best to do ? Also, if you know any good price for performance monitors, link them down below or give me the names :) !

Thanks a lot !

Merry Christmas!

You need to mention a budget :P

Honestly a 4K monitor at 24'' would be an easy choice... if you had AMD, because there's Freesync coming with it for no real extra.

You don't really have a choice for 24'' 1440p, though there are 25'' ones (and quite nice ones at that).

Else at best you'd be looking at a 144hz 24'' 1080p one, perhaps with Gsync to go along with it.

Well when it comes to budget.. I don't really want to spend more than around 250-300£ on it.

Also as you said i don't have a choice in 1440p 24" , well then thats not a deal breaker as I would not mind it if its 1inch bigger :)

But when it comes to 4k , well i still have 1 970 in my setup so running these late AAA games will be a problem. Only if i downscale to 1080p but will it look bad on the screen ?

Yeah, 4K at 24" is pointless Imo, doubly so if you are then going to run it at 1080p anyway

To be quite honest, a 24" as a 2nd screen would be fine with a 27" next to it, I would go with a 27" 1440p as a main gaming screen

Realisticly what is your budget?

The best price/performance monitor for NVIDIA right now is the Dell 1440p with gsync
If you want to stick with 24" then there is also a 1080p gsync that is quite a bit cheaper

Yeah I really wouldn't mind a 27" screen as long is not more then £300. To be honest I don't really need the g-sync or 144hz if there isn't anything under £300 because I won't be playing all the time so there is no point in investing in a special gaming monitor :).

Personally I really like this one: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/aoc-...creen-led-monitor-silver-black-mo-029-ao.html

1440p, IPS, 25'' -> high PPI & affordable. It's going to look gorgeous and the 970 will still handle the resolution well.

This is a very good looking monitor I must say. Also, just to let you all know. I am planning into upgrading my card or buying another 970 to run SLI so it won't be a problem maxing out games :) I just want it to look pretty to my eyes haha.

All right guys. I have gathered some monitors here and I'm not sure which one I should go for.

What's your opinion ? :)

Take into consideration that I will upgrade to SLI or MAYBEEE 980TI in a few months or so.

I will also be running a 1080p 24" on the side with any of the ones below :) .

Or should I go for a 27 inch one ? . even tho they are quite pricey :/

EDIT: OR should I just buy a 4k screen and F it ! haha .
