Half Life 1, yes. Half Life 2.... meh. My anus has more recoil during defacation than the weapons in Half Life 2. (with the exception of the revolver)

The dates are the 9th Ocotber for the US, 10th for Steam, and 12th over here. Not sure if that means only US users can order it off Steam on the 10th or not tho.

steam was a universal release every other time, regardless of user nationality, lets hope its same this time

guess he has not heard of crysis then. the cryengine 2 really puts the source engine to shame.

What has the engine got to do with it? FarCry looked 100x better than HL1, but HL1 was 100x the better game.

FarCry ended up more as a graphics benchmark program than a game. Something I can see Crysis becoming if the gameplay is lacking.
