New home cinema

New home cinema, this is a first for me in this deparment so wish me well. Ive a good knowledge of connecting it all up as im quite interested in the car audio scene too.

Kit consists of

Panasonic TXP50G10 50" Plasma
Yamaha RXV1065 AV Receiver
Mordaunt Short Alumni 2 Satelites
Mordaunt Short Alumni 5 Center
BK Monolith Subwoofer
XBOX 360
Virgin Media SD (nothing fancy here)
Possibly a PS3 for BR and gaming

PC - Gaming/Media spec is as follows:

Q6600 @ 3.8
Asus Maximus Formula SE
4GB Geil 6400 ULL @ 900mHz
ATI Saphire 5870 Vapour X
Auzentech XFi Prelude

What do you reckon with this setup?

tele should be here on friday

sub, amp and speakers should be here in less that 2 weeks as should the sofa bed

still need to finish painting and get carpet fitted

once the walls are painted, carpet's down and the sofa bed is on the floor i can start to install my kit... when it arrives

Out of interest, how big is your room? The Monlith is a bit of a beast as subs go. Are you going for the full 7.1 that the Yammy can deliver? Did you audition any of the kit beforehand?

room is about 10x11 i think

ive heard the MS's off a Sony reveiver, sounded well. only going for 5.1 at the mo aint thought about 7.1

ive got a yamaha htr-5640 receiver and im pretty pleased with it which is why i decided to go for another one
