Hi, im looking at getting a new HSF to replace the stock one on my X2 3800+.
I will be using the pc as a media centre pc and for games, so I want a Silent HSF.

I've been looking at the Thermaltake Sonic Tower 4-in-1 Noiseless Heatpipe (Socket 939/754/775/478) CPU Cooler (CL-P0071) (HS-009-TT). £23.44

Is this HSF any good, does it keep the temps low even though it's passive (fanless).

Can anyone recommend any better HSF's for less than £25. It must be passive or very quiet.

Thanks

Very quiet?

Thermaltake Big Typhoon

Scythe Ninja with a stupidly low RPM fan

Zalman 9500 on minimum

You wont want to run a X2 processor passivly. Minimum is a 3500+ I think.
