New i7 2700K

Just brought a new gigabyte GA Z77X-UD5H and Intel i7 2700K retail from ocuk and overclock straight to 4.8GHz with LLC set to extreme at 1.35v at the bios and passed IBT 20x and I didn't buy Ivybridge as because of heat issues and poor overclock too.

My daughter can have my old Intel i7 2600K with Gigabyte GA Z68X-UD4-B3 and will selling my Intel i7 920 D0 with Gigabyte GA EX58-UD5 soon.

Did 5GHz for 8 hours prime95 small ffts stable @ 1.368v with max temp 74C under load, but playing game temp never go over 67C. This chip is amazing!

Yeah I am quite happy and I stick to 5GHz for now and enjoy the most of my new sandybridge! Unbelieved that OCUK is right that the new i7 2700K is a best overclocking beauty chip than i7 2600K.

Silver Arrow @ 1250rpm both fans (2x TY-140 Fans) as the fans is pretty silent as cannot hear it.

I had found gigabyte z77x ud5h is very easy overclocking better than my old one z68x ud4 b3 (much harder to overclock it)

Very nice.

It's posts like this and the lack of an overclock-able Socket 2011 Xeon (for use in the SR-X board) that show Intel taking their eye off the ball in order to save on cost - compromising the enthusiast market.

I need a couple of those fans for my Bitfenix colossus case as mine have become a bit noisy! Just dont wanna spend £30 on a couple of case fans.
