Just finished installing Vista, installed programs, started playing COD4 and bsod.

I rebooted and ran Prime while watching temps, all below 50 C but then they all stopped in less than 1 minute.

Currently running at stock.

Core i7-920
Gigabyte X58-UD5
Corsair 6Gb 1333
Nvidia GTX 260
Be Quiet! 850w

Pretty sure I have installed everything, no complaints in device manager.

Any idea's?

Thanks

I left it all on auto, it set to 1.5v, not sure what the timings are at.

Ran memtest in windows and it errored then bsod, faulty ram then? :(

edit - mem timing is at 8-8-8-20 according to cpu-z. I will slack them off to 9-9-9-24

EasyTune doesn't want to work at all, just installed it rebooted and got an error and it happens the same if I try to start ET6 "GUI MFC Application has stopped working"

1.5v's is too low for the ram

set it to 1.65v's, thats what they are designed to run at (i think, but 1.5v deffo sounds too low)

unfortunally, EasyTune 6 seems to be a hit and a miss on vista 64bit after reading around the web. I too though am one of the ones that can't get it installed :(

On a side note, easytune 6 is working pefectly for me on vista 64, apart from having to confirm that I want it to run.

Also I had to send my first set of corsair RAM back to cali for replacement, took a few weeks but it was pretty painless other than that.

Mr X, been seeing your posts popping up about your plans to build an i7 rig, sorry to hear about your ram, hope you get it sorted quickly! At least once you get that sorted you've had your build hiccup and all will be well

Thanks guys.

Do you think OcUK will let me have a refund if it is faulty? As I want to order more so I am up and running quicker.

update - today Windows was only showing 4Gb of ram, I removed a stick and then only had 2Gb, swapped with the next stick and now I have 4Gb of ram, I will stability test now and see how it is.
